What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use closely related browser storage — local storage and session storage— which work the same way for the purposes of this policy: they let the app remember information between page loads and visits. In this document, “cookies” refers to all of these technologies unless we say otherwise.

We group them by what they do. Today we only use cookies and storage that are strictly necessary to run the app or that remember your preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use third-party cross-site tracking.

Cookies we use today

The list below covers the cookies and browser storage the app sets today. All of them fall into the Essential or Functional categories described in the next section.

Some essential cookies are set by our infrastructure providers (for example, our authentication provider) so the service can function. For who processes your data and where, see the Privacy Policy.

Categories and legal basis

We model four cookie categories so that any future script can be gated on a category without re-plumbing. Each category has a legal basis. Essential and Functional storage rely on strict necessity / legitimate interest and do not require your consent. Analytics and Marketing are reserved categories: they are not active today and would only ever be set with your consent once enabled.

No analytics or advertising cookies currently

We currently set no analytics cookies and no advertising or marketing cookies. The Analytics and Marketing categories above are reserved placeholders only — nothing is loaded under them, and they are never shown as active toggles or accepted on your behalf.

If we introduce analytics or marketing technologies in the future, we will update this policy, surface those categories in the cookie settings, and request your consent before any such cookie is set.

Managing your choices

You can review and change your choices at any time using our in-app cookie consent manager. From the cookie banner or settings you can:

Accept all currently available categories;
Reject non-essential storage (essential cookies always remain, because the app cannot function without them); or
open Settings to choose category by category and save your selection.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (Sec-GPC) signal, we honor it as an opt-out: on your first visit we automatically record an essential-only choice, so no non-essential storage is set and the banner does not nag you. An explicit choice you make yourself always takes precedence over the browser signal.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the service evolves — for example, if we add a new category of cookies or change a provider. When we make a material change, we will update the version and effective date shown at the top of this page and, where appropriate, prompt you again through the cookie consent manager.
