Refund & Cancellation Policy
Subscription Basics
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for our paid subscription, Pro. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with a mandatory consumer-protection law that applies to you, that law controls.
Pro is a recurring, auto-renewing subscription. Billing is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period, and Stripe charges your payment method for the next period until you cancel. There is no free trial. Paid features begin when your Pro subscription starts and your first payment is taken.
The current price, billing period (for example, monthly or yearly), and any applicable taxes are shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. We do not list a price in this document so that the pricing page stays the single place the price can change.
Cancellation
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. There is no cancellation fee and you do not need to contact us, although you are welcome to if you need help.
When you cancel, your subscription does not end immediately. Instead, it stops auto-renewing and your access to paid features continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. At the end of that period your plan moves to the free tier.
Cancelling stops future charges only. Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not prorate or refund the remaining time in the current period — you simply keep paid access until it ends. Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or your data; how to export or delete your data is described in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Refunds
Except where the law requires otherwise, all fees are non-refundable. In particular, we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or features you chose not to use, and downgrading or cancelling does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
Some jurisdictions and some situations give you a statutory right to a refund that cannot be waived — for example, the European Union and United Kingdom right of withdrawal described below, or other mandatory consumer-protection rules where you live. Where such a right applies, we honor it, and nothing in this policy limits a refund right you have under applicable law.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund, or if you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a valid cancellation), contact us at support@[DOMAIN] and we will review your request.
EU/UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. Where this right applies to your purchase of Pro, we honor it.
Pro is a digital service that we make available to you immediately. Under EU and UK consumer law, when you ask us to start providing a digital service during the 14-day withdrawal period, we ask for two things before we begin:
- your express prior consent for us to start providing the service before the withdrawal period ends; and
- your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.
If you withdraw after the service has started but before it is fully performed, you may be charged an amount in proportion to what has already been provided up to the point you told us you were withdrawing, as permitted by law. If you have not given that consent, your ordinary 14-day withdrawal right applies in full.
To withdraw, tell us within the withdrawal period — for example by emailing support@[DOMAIN] with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. We will refund any amount due to you without undue delay using the same payment method you used, unless we have agreed otherwise. These statutory rights are in addition to, and not limited by, the rest of this policy.
Failed Payments and Downgrade
If a renewal payment fails — for example, your card has expired or is declined — we (through Stripe) may retry the charge and may email you to ask you to update your payment method. Please keep your billing details up to date so your access is not interrupted.
If we are unable to collect payment, we may suspend the paid features of your subscription and downgrade your account to the free tier. Downgrading does not delete your account or your data, but features that are part of Pro will no longer be available until a successful payment restores them. You can resubscribe at any time.
Price Changes
We may change the price or fees for Pro from time to time. If we change the price of an active subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice, and the new price will take effect at your next renewal rather than mid-period. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the renewal as described under Cancellation above; continuing your subscription after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.
